LeBron James and the Lakers hosted the Warriors recently, as the men in purple looked to improve their record.

After a tough loss against the Timberwolves, Anthony Davis suffered an eye injury and was out against the Dubs. The Lakers were off to a rough start, as they were outscored by the Dubs in the first three quarters of the game.

After exchanging buckets on every possession, the Lakers couldn’t get past the Dubs. In the end, the Warriors took the game, 134-120. James finished the game with 33 points, 7 rebounds, and 11 assists.

It was a rough night for the King, as despite his efforts, the squad couldn’t handle the Warriors. A recent post on Twitter shows how exhausted James was following the loss.

James and the Lakers have struggled to find success in the postseason following their championship back in 2020. Since then, the Lakers have missed the playoffs once, and have been eliminated in the first round and the third round of the postseason

. Looking at James’ struggles, even Lakers fans want him to move on for the better. However, this statement might come true this year.

LeBron James will look elsewhere if Bronny gets drafted

Looking at James disappointed after the loss, fans on Twitter wanted the best for the King. Most of the Lakers fans wanted James to leave this coming summer, whereas others had suggestions for LeBron to look out for.

Bronny James recently entered the 2024 NBA Draft while also maintaining his college eligibility. James Jr. didn’t have as dominant of a freshman year. Regardless, the teen has decided to try and shine out on the NBA hardwood.

LeBron James signed a 2-year veteran extension with the Lakers worth $99 million back in 2022. Along with that, James also has a player option through the 2024-25 season.

If Bronny gets drafted this year, James will look to exercise his player option and join forces with his son. With the current mock draft in place, James Jr.’s expected future NBA team would either be the Spurs, the Pacers, the Thunder, or the Wizards. Though as of now, nothing can be said for sure.

The pre-draft process is a long work and Bronny will have to attend private workouts and scrimmages for teams that are interested in him.

It will be interesting to see the father-son duo in the NBA, as it will not only be a historic event in the league but in American sports. Bronny is ready for his Draft which is scheduled on June 26th.

Surprisingly, James’ player-option decision’s deadline is on June 29th. His decision to leave the Lakers will come soon after Draft Day if Bronny gets his name on the draft board.
