What was George Kittle expecting in Philadelphia? A warm welcome? And that to a player from a team that the city dislikes to its core? Certainly not.

By now, every football fan knows George Kittle‘s love for wrestling and WWE. So it didn’t surprise anyone that the San Francisco 49ers tight end traveled to enemy territory to watch WrestleMania 40.

Kittle was in attendance at the Philadelphia Eagles home, Lincoln Financial Field, on Saturday night. However, instead of loud cheers, he was met with a stream of boos from the crowd, which was made up of local Eagles’ fans.

Philly natives’ hostility aside, Kittle wasn’t the only NFL face that graced the ring on the night. As rumored, Eagles legend Jason Kelce stole the show when he and Lane Johnson surprised everyone wearing luchador masks.

George Kittle’s ‘Cero Miedo’ lifestyle

WWE superstar Bayley recently claimed that if anyone from the NFL opted to make wrestling their career, it would be George Kittle. According to her, the 30-year-old has an aura around him that exudes passion for being a professional wrestler.

Ever since his early teens, Kittle has been infatuated with the world of pro wrestling. During the buildup of WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans, he attended various indie shows that caught his attention. He became infatuated with the violence and authenticity of one particular individual, Penta El Zero M.

Since then, the two have become close friends, even collaborating to create a new clothing line with the Chubbies’ lifestyle apparel brand.

We liked the idea of combining my love for pro wrestling and positive mantras together. The Chubbies designers created this insane print inspired by my collection of luchador masks.

George Kittle said in an interview for the promotion of the brand

Before losing to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl LIV, Kittle explained his friendship with AEW star Penta.

I watched him wrestle three or four different times and was instantly drawn to his swagger and demeanor. I admire his Cero Miedo mindset.

Kittle revealed

Eventually, Kittle made his WWE debut on the grandest stage of all, WrestleMania, in 2023.

Wrestling is the pinnacle of sports entertainment, as is football.

Kittle told Sports Illustrated

His WWE career can wait. Right now, he has to focus on the San Francisco 49ers winning another Super Bowl. They have been stuck on five rings since 1995. Kittle came close twice but lost to the Chiefs on both occasions.
