The NFL Draft is hardly three weeks away and all eyes are on the college football stars Drake Maye, Caleb Williams, and Jayden Daniels. All of them are favorites to get the first three drafts with some prospective landing spots for the quarterbacks.

The New York Giants‘ name was doing rounds as the possible landing spot for the quarterback Drake Maye. The team is in a complicated situation regarding their talented quarterback Daniel Jones‘ future.

 

Jones performed decently (in the games he featured) in the 2022-23 season as he took the team to the playoffs. The quarterback had major injury concerns last year and had his presence only in six games.

While some people want him to be traded, the QB has the support of the team owner. His trade can pave the way for the young college-level quarterback.

In this context, Aaron Rodgers‘ teammate Kurt Benkert believes that it will not be a good decision for Drake Maye not to join the New York Giants. He felt that the QB would find himself in a similar position to Daniel Jones.

I feel like he's gonna be stuck in a Daniel Jones situation. Like, look at Daniel Jones. Did he have a best last year, no. Has he shown promise? Yes. He made plays. The whole offense ran through Saquon Barkley and he is gone. Looking at the roster, I think they need a lot of work.
