Emmanuel Acho claims the 49ers don’t have ‘money problem’ because they draft pretty well amid Brock Purdy and Brandon Aiyuk contract saga

The San Francisco 49ers are presently in a hotchpotch situation. There is no concrete sign whether the team will give wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk a contract of his liking. In addition, Brock Purdy‘s contract is also an issue for the San Francisco-based team.

The quarterback is presently in the final year of his rookie contract. He is projected to get a historic deal in the coming season and can become one of the highest-played players in the league. There are many speculations about the Niners being in a financial constraint amid the contract saga. Giving a big contract extension to two of their best players is not easy at all.

However, Emmanuel Acho, a former player, and present-day analyst claimed that the Niners would do the perfect job in removing obstacles without having a financial constraint. He emphasized the 49ers’ ability to draft well which in turn saves them a lot of money by not trading big names.

He discussed that most of the stars in the current 49ers roster weren’t drafted in the first round- Fred Warner, Dre Greenlaw, George Kittle, Deebo Samuel, and also Brock Purdy.

What works for the Niners is we have over-estimated the hammering that will happen to the Niners roster. Because the Niners draft well. Don't let Trey Lance fool you. Fred Warner, third-round pick, Dre Greenlaw, fifth-round pick, George Kittle, fifth-round pick, Deebo Samuel, second-round pick, Brock Purdy seventh-round pick.

Emmanuel Acho said.

The analyst made it clear that he isn’t against the 49ers paying Aiyuk. He asserted that they ‘absolutely have’ to pay the WR but even after that, they know how to draft well.

So, it is not as though the Niners have first-round picks. The stars are not all first-round picks. I just named you all-pros, fifth-round picks, fifth-round picks, and second-round picks. We have gotta blow out the dilemma. Yes, they have to pay Aiyuk, they absolutely have to pay Aiyuk. But after they pay Aiyuk, they know how to draft well.

Emmanuel Acho added.

Lot of uncertainty still Brandon Aiyuk’s contract with the 49ers

A few days back, the news broke out that the San Francisco 49ers would not release Brandon Aiyuk who had a troubled time with the 49ers after the Super Bowl. He was frustrated for not being targeted enough by Brock Purdy in the Super Bowl. His girlfriend even hinted that Aiyuk may’ve played his last game for the 49ers.

However, denying all speculations, general manager John Lynch said that the team would try to give an extension to the wide receiver. They started having contract talks. However, the deal isn’t locked as both parties have reportedly not come up to a conclusion yet.

Kyle Shanahan already expressed his opinion about having Aiyuk on his team for an extended time. He claimed that the WR would be an important option for the team. It is to be seen whether the two parties come to a mutual understanding and once the 49ers have dealt with Aiyuk, they’ll have to sort the situation out with Purdy too.
