In a big wave of surprise, Stefon Diggs recently left the Buffalo Bills to join the Houston Texans. For a long time, his relationship with the Bills quarterback Josh Allen was rumored to be strained. The speculations finally became true and as a result, Diggs eventually left the squad.

The departure has raised certain questions regarding the treatment that Stefon Diggs used to get in the Bills dressing room. Analyst Stephen A. Smith believes that he was not appreciated or treated perfectly and his departure had to be connected to that reason.

I have been talking about this since summertime. I said Stefon Diggs would not be there. The man has wanted out. He lost belief in the franchise. He believed they missed the window, and he was wearing his emotion on his sleeve.

The discomfort of the wide receiver was not a secret. A few days back, the WR had a bit of a ‘war of words’ with a fan who claimed that his presence was not necessary for the success of Josh Allen. The former Bills’ WR jibed at the fan by asking, ‘You sure?’

The atmosphere of the Bills dressing room started turning sour in the middle of the last season. The rift between the quarterback and the WR became the talk of the town, and the possibility of the WR departing from the team started looming. Though the management tried to resolve the issue, all their efforts went in vain as the WR left for the Houston Texans.

Stephen A. Smith claimed Stefon Diggs should feel ‘grateful’

Despite the trade, Smith said that the Bills team handled the situation well. Considering the contribution, the analyst claimed that the team sent him to the right place. At least, he did not have to share the fate of the Cleveland Browns quarterback Joe Flacco, according to Smith. The veteran analyst noted that the Texans would be the perfect place for him.

He should be thankful because the Buffalo Bills sent him to a really, really good [place].

Last season, Joe Flacco contributed significantly to the Cleveland Browns’ cause. However, after the return of the Browns’ regular quarterback DeShaun Watson, the team did not consider re-signing Joe Flacco. The veteran QB finally had to leave for the Indianapolis Colts.
