The trade of Stefon Diggs has created a lot of buzz in the NFL world. The analysts strongly believe that the wide receiver would be a perfect fit for the Houston Texans. With the help of Diggs, the Texans will manage to achieve big, which is what the consensus belief is.

However, a new controversy has emerged regarding his jersey number. Stefon Diggs has always worn the iconic No.14 jersey in his entire life. However, he has had to give up his usual jersey no and wear the No.1 jersey. In his new team, Houston Texans, Diggs will now be seen sporting the single-digit jersey number which earlier belonged to Jimmie Ward.

Reports have emerged that Jimmie Ward has given up his No.1 shirt for a certain price. The safety has reportedly got a hefty amount of $100,000 from the wide receiver Stefon Diggs.

Ward was signed by the Houston Texans from the San Francisco 49ers ahead of the 2022-23 season. During his stint at the Niners, the safety wore the number 20 jersey for three years; and later he began wearing the No.1 jersey.

Keyshawn Johnson had a critical take on the Buffalo Bills following Stefon Diggs’ trade

Analyst Keyshawn Johnson had a wild take on the Buffalo Bills. He accused the team of not using the wide receiver properly. In the show Undisputed, the former player-turned-analyst claimed that the Bills only used the WR to a limited extent. However, he seemed firm that the Texans would utilize the WR in the fullest terms.

He's a talent that the Texans will benefit from. The Buffalo Bills didn't benefit from his talent…They only went so far. Way better fit in Houston. He's happy in Houston. He was not happy in Buffalo.
