skip bayless playing basketball
Skip Bayless is known as a controversial figure in the world of sports commentary. The 72-year-old has never shied away from brutally taking shots at athletes, most notably LeBron James.

Skip Bayless has been called the most controversial man in America for his incendiary opinions. Years ago, Bayless claimed on Twitter that he was a high school basketball star so it led to fans digging for some information.

Copies of the 1970 Northwest Classen, Oklahoma varsity team sheets were unearthed and it was discovered that Skip Bayless averaged 1.4 points per game and a total of 21 points all year.

We are now finding out why he scored very little.

The Fox Sports host posted a video of him in the “lab” shooting three-pointers in preparation for a three-point shooting contest against former NFL quarterback Cam Newton.

“Here I am in an old school ‘lab’ getting ready for my 3-point shooting competition with Cam Newton. I missed some, made some, heated up near the end of this session in a little gym I frequent near the Fox Studios here in LA. Thank you, Ernestine, for your expert camera work. Details to come on this week’s ‘Skip Bayless Show,’ dropping tomorrow,” Bayless said.

As you can see, Skip Bayless has a terrible form that explains everything from his youth. Of course, every shot that he made was edited and all of the missed shots were taken out.

Fans took to the comment section as well as the quotes to blast Skip Bayless over the video:

Bayless went to Vanderbilt, but there’s no record of him ever playing college basketball, although he was the editor of the university’s sports newsletter. I think it’s safe to say his hoop dreams ended on a high school bench.

Skip Bayless Made His Career Going After LeBron James

Bayless gained national attention as the co-host of “Undisputed” on FS1, but it was his time on ESPN’s “First Take” is where he made his name.

Skip Bayless’ rants against LeBron James have always sparked intense debate on social media and he would choose the most random spots to bring him up in an effort to tear him down. To this day, LeBron has never responded or acknowledged his existence.
