The Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr has heaped praise on young guard Brandin Podziemski despite the team’s struggle against the Indiana Pacers.

The 21-year-old had a rather average outing against the Pacers where he ended up registering just 13 points to go with 10 rebounds and two assists.

Kerr was quoted after the match where he praised the youngster for his performances throughout the season and stated that he is ‘thrilled’ with his performances.

“I don’t care if he scores or not he’s in every one of our best lineups,” said Kerr. “He’s our best plus-minus guy for the year. He’s really good whether he’s scoring or not. And I know, especially as a rookie, he’ll have ups and downs from a scoring standpoint.

“Right now he’s on a down period. But he allows other guys to play well just because of his recognition of what’s happening on the floor, his cuts, his ball movement, his spacing. I’m thrilled with Brandon, and as long as he keeps playing as hard as he is, he’ll be out there.”

The Golden State Warriors ended on the losing side on the night against the Pacers with a score of 123-111 at the Chase Center in San Francisco. It was the Warriors’ fifth defeat in the last eight fixtures which left them in the 10th position in the Western Conference with just 36 wins and 33 defeats.
