With OTAs opening up across the NFL, we’re getting our first glimpse of many players who are donning a new uniform for the 2023 season.

Among them is the New Orleans Saints’ newest starting quarterback, Derek Carr.

After being let go by the Las Vegas Raiders, in favor of former 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo, Carr will be entering the 2023 campaign with plenty to prove. And based on a recent highlight that’s been making rounds on social media, it looks like the 32-year-old signal caller has been putting in the work in the weight room…

Although, that foot speed still leaves a lot to be desired.

While some couldn’t help but notice how jacked Carr was looking in his sleeveless jersey, his “meh” footwork is what seemed to catch the attention of most NFL fans on Twitter.

And, as is customary on social media, the Saints QB was promptly roasted for having the “slowest feet in the business.”

After throwing for 3,522 yards, 24 touchdowns and 14 interceptions before getting benched for the final two weeks of the season, Carr now joins a New Orleans team that appears to be stuck in no-man’s land at the moment.

With several superstar veterans and a real shot at winning the NFC South, the Saints have decided to hold off on entering a full-on rebuild. However, it’s quite clear that winning their joke-of-a-division is the absolute most we should expect from this club.

Sorry, Saints fans. But your team is not a true NFC contender… Not unless your QB can bench-press his way to a Super Bowl.
