After making some minor appearances in major MCU projects, Charlie Cox is finally getting his own MCU show with Daredevil: Born Again.

The series promises to be a thrilling return of The Man Without Fear in all his glory following the huge success of the previous 3 seasons of the Netflix Daredevil series.

Along with Cox, many of his castmates are returning including Deborah Ann Woll and Jon Bernthal. Many set photos from the show were circulated online recently and it seems the cast is aware of them. Woll seems to have finally found out the culprit behind the leaks and it turns out to be Bernthal himself.

Daredevil: Born Again is among one of the most anticipated MCU titles coming up. Fans are looking forward to Charlie Cox leading his own show after making some MCU appearances in Spiderman: No Way Home, She-Hulk, and Echo.

Production on the series is currently underway and Jon Bernthal and Cox recently shot scenes together as revealed by the leaked set photos (via Deadline).

One of the returning stars from the Netflix Daredevil show, Deborah Ann Woll recently took to X to poke fun at the leaks that have been circulating online. She hilariously puts the blame on co-star Jon Bernthal for the leaks, as she shared Bernthal’s Instagram post that sees her, Cox, and Bernthal smiling at the camera. She wrote,

“There’s a leaker on the Daredevil: Born Again set… and it’s @jonnybernthal! Mystery solved!”

 

The reunion of the trio has been welcomed by fans who have been dreaming about this happening in the MCU for some years now. The set photos have teased a bloody return of the Punisher it seems Marvel is not pulling its punches with the show.

Jon Bernthal Promises The Punisher’s DNA Will Remain Intact in The MCU

After the beloved Punisher series, Jon Bernthal will return in Daredevil: Born Again
Jon Bernthal has started shooting for Daredevil: Born Again and is set to have a pivotal role in the series. The Netflix Punisher series had a lot of gore and brutality and with the transition to the MCU, many thought the studio might alter the tone and treatment of the character to appeal to more audiences. However, Bernthal assured fans that the DNA of the character will remain intact no matter what.

In an interview with Screenrant, Bernthal expressed his love for Frank Castle and what he has been able to do with the character.

While he stated that he can’t reveal anything about his character in Daredevil: Born Again, he teased that despite his character arc in the series, Castle’s motivations and identity will remain the same. He said,

“I don’t know yet; I don’t know. It’s too early to tell. And you know how Marvel is, I really can’t say anything anyway. But I care about Frank deeply, and no matter how much Frank grows, he’s always going to be the same.”

The set photos are proof that Castle will be as gritty as ever in his MCU debut. In addition to Bernthal, Daredevil: Born Again also stars Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Margarita Levieva, Michael Gandolfini, Sandrine Holt, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, and Wilson Bethel. The series will premiere on Disney+ sometime in 2025
