LIKE any famous pop star, Taylor Swift has been known to switch up her hair and makeup to keep pace with fashion and her evolving brand.

According to a psychologist, the singer’s coiffed locks have been replaced by haphazard hairstyles and messy bangs, signaling something special in her latest romance.

Taylor, 33, is famed for hitting the red carpet without a hair out of place and in impeccable style.

Recent photographs of the singer reveal something different. Taylor’s hair has been left stringy, frizzy, and sometimes unkempt.

For last Sunday’s Grammys, Taylor wore a braid down one side. The other looked unbrushed.

“Her hair was terrible as it looked like somebody braided one side and left it,” stylist Amanda Sanders told The U.S. Sun.

Taylor’s football game appearances supporting Travis Kelce have seen her fall into the NFL player’s arms.  Her hair looked matted and frizzy.

Psychologist Jo Hemmings said Taylor “does not care what her hair looks like.”

Taylor and Kelce, 35, began dating in 2023 with their relationship moving at pace.

She is set to hot-foot it from her Eras Tour in Tokyo to Las Vegas to support the Kansas City Chiefs tight end’s Super Bowl game today.

“Taylor has stopped caring about having immaculate hair,” Hemmings told The U.S. Sun.

“She feels loved for who she is by Travis and not what her hair looks like anymore.”

“From the recent frizzy football game messes to the tousled braid, it is an incredible sign of newfound happiness with Travis,” she added.

Hemmings claimed Taylor’s hair during her past relationships was telling.

Taylor’s last serious relationship was with the British actor Joe Alwyn, whom she met in 2017.

Their notoriously private love affair lasted five years, with the pair splitting in 2023.

“With Joe, Taylor’s hair always looked very shiny, soft, and simple,” she said.

“While she showed versatility, it was not messy or tousled, which we have seen now with Travis.

“There was something pent up about Taylor’s self-esteem with Joe.”

Taylor’s exciting Eras tour has professionally seen her relaxed hairstyles become a talking point.

Plenty of attention has surrounded Taylor’s set list and glittering outfits.

But her cascading ash-blond tresses and softer-style bangs have caused a stir.

“I’ve never had this much fun in my life as I have had on The Eras Tour,” she said in 2023.

“It is far and away just the most electric experience of my life,” she beamed at the world premiere of her The Eras Tour concert film.

Taylor was reportedly getting further involved with Travis at the time.

“The signs of Taylor being in love with Travis are the clothes becoming more casual and a lot of PDA,” said Hemmings.

“But there are messages in her hair.

“He is a decent guy, not a player and they have both admitted that they balance each other’s lives.

“She loves to be at his games, always full of joy and enthusiasm and he loves her music.

Before now, Taylor enjoyed flings with music producer Calvin Harris, and actor Tom Hiddleston, to name a few.

Her time with Calvin lasted under a year, between 2015 and 2016.

The couple went public at the Billboard Awards that May before splitting soon after.

The break up with Tom was followed by Taylor changing up her hair and looks.

Hemmings said during those key relationships, Taylor’s hair changed as well.

“During her short relationship with Calvin, she had some brief experiments with her hair,” she said.

“Taylor started playing with color here more, likely to fit in with his music vibe and style.

“She also had those bold and assertive bangs.

“Tom was another short-lived relationship where Taylor had mainly short hair.

“I am unsure it suited her short as she did not look so confident.

“Tom liked it like that and she likely kept it shorter to please him.

“With Travis, her hair is going wild, long, just as she likes for herself.

“She is letting loose with her character and feels confidence and contentment.

“Taylor is also showing off her face more – this is, at last, a carefree woman and we should adore her for it.”

“Experimenting with hair is often a way of finding our identity.

“If you are having an exciting relationship, the pressure to have perfect hair and try new styles evaporates.

“It is no longer a priority for Taylor so this hair change is very telling.”
