Without a doubt, Jennifer Lawrence is an excellent actress who has showcased her talent in various genres, however, she once failed miserably trying to land a modeling contract with Abercrombie & Fitch.

She once recalled that the photoshoot required her to play football with other models but her determination to the sport made her quite aggressive, which explains why her Abercrombie & Fitch pictures were never released to the public.

While growing up, Lawrence’s mother advised her to choose modeling as a career but she was more into acting. She turned down several modeling offers before finally a minor role in the TV pilot Company Town (2006), which never reached the audience, just like her modeling pictures.

Jennifer Lawrence traumatized another model after she got too aggressive during a photoshoot

During her appearance on The Graham Norton Show in 2015, actress Jennifer Lawrence recalled the time she modeled for Abercrombie & Fitch but it went horribly wrong,

“I did the whole campaign and the pictures never came out, and I didn’t know why. My agent wrote and asked why, and they literally only responded with the photos,” adding, “The other models are, like, playing football in a pretty way, but not me – I’ve got a red face, covered in sweat, my nostrils are flaring. At one point, a girl yelled, ‘Get her away from me!’”

Lawrence explained that the whole idea behind the shoot was that Abercrombie & Fitch wanted “real people” playing football on a beach, but Lawrence took it quite seriously.

Despite pressure from her mother, Lawrence was not fond of modeling and rejected many modeling offers.

The actress strongly believed that she was naturally fit for acting and completely focused on it, to the point where she dropped out of school at the age of 14 to pursue a career in acting.

Lawrence made her film debut in the 2008 drama film Garden Party and her breakthrough role came in Debra Granik’s independent drama Winter’s Bone (2010).

After that, Lawrence bagged major roles in famous franchises like X-Men and The Hunger Games, making her a worldwide sensation. Thanks to her remarkable talent and off-screen personality, today Lawrence is a prominent figure in the entertainment industry.
