Michael Douglas Finds Familial Connection to Scarlett Johansson

The latest episode of Finding Your Roots has revealed the familial bond between Marvel actors Michael Douglas and Scarlett Johansson. During Episode 9 of Season 10, the host of the show, Henry Louis Gates, disclosed that DNA analysis conducted by the show’s team revealed that Johansson is Douglas’ “DNA cousin.”

He further explained,

“Michael and Scarlett share identical stretches of DNA on four different chromosomes, all of which appear on Scarlett’s maternal lines, which stretch back to Jewish communities in eastern Europe.”

The Ant-Man star was surprised by the revelation and expressed his amazement, saying, “Are you kidding?—That’s amazing. All right. This is cool.

However, he has also expressed mixed sentiments regarding his involvement in the potential fourth installment of Ant-Man or other future MCU projects. Douglas was asked about the same during the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania premiere.

And he told The Hollywood Reporter that he would only return for another Marvel movie “as long as I could die.” Douglas has reprised his role as Hank Pym in the Ant-Man sequels and Avengers: Endgame along with voicing the character in the animated Marvel series What If…?
