Recruiting new players

With multiple players leaving the program, including Angel Reese to the WNBA Draft and Hailey Van Lith to the transfer portal, Mulkey has been actively recruiting new talent to bolster her roster. The Tigers have secured commitments from Shayeann Day-Wilson from Miami, Kailyn Gilbert from Arizona, and Mjracle Sheppard from Mississippi State.

Despite these changes, LSU is expected to be a strong contender in the SEC for the 2024/25 season. While South Carolina, the reigning national champion, may be the preseason favorite, Mulkey’s Tigers are not to be underestimated.

LSU has strengthened its roster with key additions: Kailyn Gilbert from Arizona, Shayeann Day-Wilson from Miami, and Mjracle Shepphard from Mississippi State. They will be joined by transfer forward Jersey Wolfenbarger and incoming freshman Jada Richard.
