The Buffalo Bills, behind quarterback Josh Allen, have been one of the best teams in the AFC over the past few years and it had to do with the team trading for wide receiver Stefon Diggs.

Now, Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills have no idea where they are headed in the future after the team elected to trade the wide receiver to the Houston Texans on Tuesday.

Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs look on before a game.

Buffalo will receive a 2025 second-round pick via the Vikings and the Texans will get a 2024 sixth-round pick and a 2025 fifth-round pick, according to a report from ESPN.com.

After being teamed with quarterback Josh Allen following a trade from the Minnesota Vikings, Diggs became one of the NFL’s best receivers. During his time in Buffalo, he was an All-Pro and went on to become a four-time Pro Bowler. He recorded four straight 1,000-yard receiving seasons, extending his streak to six years in a row, including two seasons of double-digit touchdown catches.

Now that he is gone, many took to social media to joke about Josh Allen having to shoulder more of the offensive load as he already runs a ton and might have to catch his own passes with Diggs gone.

Last season, Diggs had yet another stellar season as he caught 107 catches for 1,183 yards and eight touchdowns on his way to another Pro Bowl. He could also be seen speaking with Houston Texans quarterback CJ Stroud, who lit the league on fire in his very first season after being drafted out of Ohio State.

Who knows what that conversation entailed that led us to this moment of Diggs being traded to the Houston Texans while Josh Allen and the Bills are left to pick up the pieces of their offense without him.

CJ Stroud arguably has three #1 wide receivers at his disposal as the team further added to the offense by trading for Stefon Diggs. The Texans might be so dangerous with those two that they may be a serious threat to the Kansas City Chiefs.

In the meantime, Josh Allen and the Bills might be taking a major step back as no one will have them in the Super Bowl category with a move like this one.
